Superstar Biodegradable Glitter is indistinguishable from cosmetic polyester (PET) based glitter.
It is available in a wide variety of beautiful bright colours and mixes.
Feels much softer and more comfortable on the skin and in the hair compared to the polyester glitter. Indistinguishable from traditional plastic glitter, Superstar Biodegradable Glitter is based on vegetable matter instead of plastic and will naturally degrade in the environment.
It meets the requirements of EC regulation 1223/2009. No animal testing has been used in the development and production process. Bio-glitter® is antimony free **, meets EN71-3: 2013 A1: 2014 and EN71-2: 2011 for toy safety, contains NON-GMO ingredients, is suitable for vegetarians, vegans and is allergen free.
With only a small amount of plastic and with the PROVEN high biodegradation performance of 90% in fresh water, Superstar Biodegradable Glitter is only 3% off the standard to meet the performance criteria for OK Biodegradable WATER certification. Superstar Biodegradable Glitter IS 92% plastic free. It is still the most environmentally friendly glitter on the market.
Superstar Biodegradable Glitter is made from a special biodegradable base film, certified according to EN13432 and ASTM D6400 standards and certified as industrially compostable, from raw materials all completely environmentally friendly and sourced according to FSC® standards.
